NATCHITOCHES – The Natchitoches Main Street Program will continue Alive After 5 on Friday, May 29 with “A Night of Musical Theatre”.
“A Night of Musical Theatre” will be held on Friday, May 29 at the Natchitoches Arts Center located at 716 Second Street. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The performance is free and open to the public. A wine tasting and a tapas menu of hors d’oeuvres will be available at $5 per person. Desserts and bottled water are complimentary.
Northwestern State University students performing include Dustin Gaspard, Josiah Kennedy, Taylor Marrs, Morgan Mosley, Allee Peck and Mandi Ridgdell. Musical direction will be provided by Wm. Perry Morgan-Hall.
Alive After 5 is a six month series of evening events taking place from April to September. The series includes art events, concerts, musical theatre and other cultural events which will all take place in the Natchitoches Historic District.
All events are free to the public and tourists and residents alike are encouraged to become more engaged in downtown arts and culture. Additional Alive After 5 events will be held on June 12, July 4, August 8 and September 26.
Alive After 5 is supported by a grant from the Louisiana State Arts Council, the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, and the Shreveport Regional Arts Council. Additional funding is provided by the Natchitoches Historic District Development Commission.
