The Natchitoches Main Street Program will continue Alive After 5 on Friday, June 12 with a “Moonlight Music Concert� featuring Mauva Belle and Hot Water.
The free “Moonlight Music Concert� will be held on Friday, June 12 in downtown Natchitoches on Front Street from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Mauva Belle was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has performed in Pioneer Square, at private events, casinos and festivals. In November of 2000 she toured in Italy. Her soulful rhythm and funky beats are sure to keep listeners dancing on the historic brick street in downtown Natchitoches. The finger snapping and toe tapping tunes have led her to become a local favorite and she regularly performers at various venues in the Natchitoches area.
Alive After 5 is a six month series of evening events taking place from April to September. The series includes art events, concerts, musical theatre and other cultural events which will all take place in the Natchitoches Historic District.
All events are free to the public and tourists and residents alike are encouraged to become more engaged in downtown arts and culture. Additional Alive After 5 events will be held on July 4, August 8 and September 26.
Alive After 5 is supported by a grant from the Louisiana State Arts Council, the Louisiana Division of the Arts, Office of Cultural Development, Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, and the Shreveport Regional Arts Council. Additional funding is provided by the Natchitoches Historic District Development Commission.
